Bootcamp Improvements

As everybody knows, I've been doing a Bootcamp class. On September 1st we did some testing where we ran a timed mile, did as many sit-ups and push-ups we could in 2 minutes and did weight assisted pull-ups. So, for the people who asked me to keep them posted, here are my results after 11 Bootcamp classes....

Mile time before: 9:12 and today: 8:23
Push ups before: 48 (on knees) and today: 58
Sit ups before: 44 and today:56
Pull ups before: 6 and today: 9

Our last class is on Monday and that's when we will do our body fat analysis again. Maybe I'll tell you about that, and maybe I won't........... ;) Since I got my membership to the gym on June 7th, I've lost a total of 17.5 pounds (gotta add that half!) I'm so sad it was only a 3 month membership, but it was a great place to start and get motivated.

**Bodyfat update.....
On September 5th my bodyfat was 22.9% and in the "fit" category. As of today my bodyfat is 20.9% and in the "excellent" catagory. So, in one month of Bootcamp I've lost 7 pounds, 2% bodyfat, and lost 1 inch off my hips and 1 inch off my waist. If it didn't cost $100 I would totally stay in this class- the results are worth the blood, sweat, and tears!

whooa! Nice time on the mile you could kick my can! I'm glad its working for you classes with instructors are always better than doing it by yourself. I dont know what is is about someone yelling in your face but it works;)

Roudy needs to understand its tough for you, and you need to not be so hard on yourself. Geez you did a dang good job, be proud! I ran 8 today its funny Wheels told me after 4 it gets easier I thought she was full of crap but she is so right! Hummm who would have guessed:)Its funny I'm now running next to the cows in the pasture... ha funny huh its beautiful though right next to the mountains and river! I only do long runs on the weekend and shorter ones during the week. oh and one more thing I CAN NOT EAT WHAT EVER I WANT...I WISH! When you have weight to lose you have to lose it first then enjoy the fruits of your labor...maybe?

My back hurts a little after my long runs but a nice warm bath helps that:) My knees and ankles used to hurt but not anymore. Thats great that you got your own machine, best thing I ever did!

so I peeked at your blog from Chy's. First off Kudos on the weight loss and doing the boot camp. I don't know that I could handle the boot camp, I have an accident everytime I run :( I'm helping in the preschool so I can continue a membership(its free). I did the personal trainer thing and that was rough...If you decide that you may want to help this year or next let me know, Treson can go for free :) and you can get a year membership for your whole family.---Amy

I'm actually doing the preschool so I'm only going 2 days a week for 2.5-3 hrs and Jace gets to go for free. The other nice part is I only have to go until May. The personal trainer was great! I lost 14 lbs and over 8% body fat so I was very excited about that one, now to just make sure I keep going!
