Skyline Wrestling Tournament 2009

We took Jaxon to a wrestling tournament at Skyline High School this last weekend and he did great! It's so fun to watch him wrestle! We're proud of him and how hard he works to get better. Most people don't understand why we spend so much time taking Jaxon to wrestling practice and why we commit every Saturday to a wrestling tournament for 2 1/2 months, but this is why! To watch your kid excel at something that he loves makes it worth all the sacrifice and hours put in!

Here's some video of one of Jaxon's matches. This is actually one of the easier matches he had. Freestyle wrestling has different rules and different scoring than Folkstyle wrestling (high school wrestling.) In freestyle if you get six more points than your opponent than you win the round. If you win two rounds, then you win the match. That's what happened in this match- Jaxon beat the kid 6-0 both rounds. Jaxon's in the red.....

Intermountain Warriors Ultimate Challenge

We took Jaxon to a National Wrestling Tournament at the Holt Arena in Pocatello this weekend. It was a two day tournament with some really good little wrestlers.

This is how Jaxon feels about getting 4th place.....

The kids he lost to weren't necessarily better wrestlers than him...just stronger. So he's going to work hard at practice and we're going to beat those kids at State! We're really proud of Jaxon and how hard he wrestled this weekend!

I'm Back!

I just got my computer back from being de-bugged. It's a long story, but I typed in my credit card number to one of those "anti-spyware" pop-ups and my computer totally crashed. What a freaking mess! The computer doctor had my computer for a whole week and he found almost 4 GB of threats on it. So, besides the fact that I had to call and freeze my credit card and pay the computer doctor $140.00 to fix my mess, it was actually a blessing in disguise because I already had a virus that I didn't know about. Anyway, more on that later. I'm exhausted and I have to get up at 5:30 in the morning to be to a wrestling tournament. Yes...it's that time of year again. More on that later, too..........
