Jordy Sue got her tonsils out yesterday. She has done so good! She over did it a little yesterday and she's pretty tired today, but other than that she hasn't complained at all! This is a picture of her when we first got to the hospital. After the surgery, they were rolling her down the hall to her room and the first thing she did was give me a dirty look and say, "Why weren't you there?" I knew she'd be mad when they woke her up and she was alone. Luckily, they gave her some Versed (sp?) before they took her away to surgery, so she was loopy and doesn't remember that part! This is how she looked right after surgery.
But, as soon as she saw the camera, this is what we got! She's always got a smile for the camera!
We took her home and put her down for a nap. When she woke up, I put her in the car and we went through the Arby's drive thru to get her a milkshake. I hadn't eaten all day, so I grabbed me a sandwich. Big mistake! Jordy Sue was so mad that I didn't get her a cheeseburger that she wouldn't even look at me and she wouldn't touch her milkshake. I gave her half of my sandwich (I know it was probably not a good idea, but what do you do with a starving girl ?) and grandma Jeanne saved the day and brought her a DOUBLE cheeseburger from McDonalds! The picture isn't great, but trust me, she has a HUGE smile on her face! Grandma Jeanne stayed with us a couple days, and Jordyn was so spoiled!
Grandma Gay Lyn kept the boys all day for me, so basically she saved my life! She brought Jordyn up a painting book, and Jordyn spent an hour painting-she loved it. She doesn't want to lay around all day. And Grandma saved the day when she brought Jordy a Burger King cheesburger for dinner.
These roses are from papa Steve. He knows she loves her flowers! She really has a soft spot for her Papa.
My dad and his family brought Jordyn up some popsicles and creamies. It's a good thing because she loves her creamies! I have pictures of her eating her yummy "pink popsicles" but I can't get them to move from the top of the page down here so I just deleted them. Have I ever mentioned that computers hate me?

She really is a trooper! My Alie got hers taken out a year ago and she struggled for a good week! The recovery was really awful. BUT she slept better, talked better, and ate better afterwards so it was definitely worth it! So glad Jordy's got so many people who love her and who will bring her fun things to keep her happy! She's such a pretty girl! I bet you are glad that is over! Hope recovery is quick and smooth!
I bet your glad it's over, she looks like she is doing great! The hotel looked super fun.. what a COOL mom! Cooper gets to go under general anesthea and get ALL his teeth fixed this Thursday, I think I'm more nervous than him! I just hope he does not get the cold that Cade and I have because then we will have to put if off another week or so:( Tell everyone in Idaho hello from us;)
