So, I heard Albertson's had strawberries on sale for $1.19 a pound and I thought, "Yay, I'll make strawberry jam!" But last time I made jam was three years ago and I had no idea how many strawberries to buy. So I bought 24 pounds. Yes, 24 pounds. WHAT WAS I THINKING? It took forever just to clean the strawberries and cut the tops and center out, let alone putting all twenty four pounds through the salsa maker, cooking the sugar and pectin, putting it in the containers... It took FOREVER! I bet it took me at least 5 hours (and that's without taking care of the kids in between!) But it's done now and I can make the kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches again...everyday...for the rest of their lives...

Woah! I'm so impressed! That is amazing and looks so divine! I LOVE homemade strawberry jam! Oh, yum. What a lot of work! Nice job!
YUMMY! I did this last year and I still have like 5 jars left! Homemade is so much better;)
....So it looks as though we are all going to get together around the 4th, you will have to tell Steph and Katie. I say we put Emily in charge- or should I say not it!
Hummmm... your the one who lives in Idaho Falls, but I'll give you a break you have more kiddos;) Yeah lets stick with Emily!
HaHaHa! You're funny. I can't believe you thought 24 pounds would be about right... I guess you don't have to make jam for several years now though.
P.S. I'm sad I'm not going to be home on the 4th... I was almost coming home too! Dang it!
Can't you postpone your June trip until the 4th? And don't make fun of me about buying 24 pounds of strawberries! If you remember right I never was very good with numbers or math or conversions for that matter! I had no idea how many pounds would equal a quart or a pint or whatever. Shut up.
